Cascading Flowers Card

Hello!
I have another new card to share with you again today. Photographing this card was difficult because it kept turning out too bright. All the yellow I guess :( Playing with the brightness setting did not help at all so I finally gave up.
When choosing the colours for this card, I used the Colour Wheel Challenge over at Make My Monday. This week, the colours are yellow, purple and white or cream. I went with a bit of white. The style of this card is "Cascading" and you can find Mynnette's awesome tutorial at Technique Tuesday.
Well folks, grab your sunglasses because here come the VERY bright pics of my card:

Butterflies & Teacups

Good Afternoon! I hope you all have been enjoying the weekend. I have had a lot of fun this weekend with my Grand-daughter who was super happy to hear that her Gammy has recovered enough from her neck surgery to have sleep-overs again.....finally (as Kasey said, lol). She has really missed our slumber parties since my surgery in February. We have had a busy time these past 2 days, especially since she is only 4; and what 4 year old ISN'T busy??
Anyway, on to today's card :) This card is my first attempt at a gate-fold card. Its just your standard gate-fold but I have found another style I will enjoy making again and again. I got the inspiration for the layout from a sketch I found on The Crazy Challenge. With having Kasey here yesterday and today, I didn't get the pictures uploaded in time to enter it in their challenge but, if you want to see the sketch, I have linked it with their name. It really was an awesome sketch, and I'm sure I will use it again.

Here is the card I made to share with you today:

Penguin Christmas Card

Wow, I can't believe I just completed another Christmas card for a few challenges. It is so hot and humid here these days that working on a Christmas card almost seems wrong. For this card, I have used one of my favourite Christmas colours, blue. I do own 1 or 2 penguin stamps but decided to use this digi so I could enter my card into a digi challenge. As I don't own any digis ........... yet, I had to search the internet first.
Here is my card:

Card Front

Just about everything on here that could be distressed with ink, has been. I even distressed the edges of my paper roses before rolling them up. Talk about a very inky mess!

Yup, the inside of my card is distressed too!

 Recipe:
Patterned Paper - DCWV
Cardstock - Recollections and Copic
Image - "Yikes" digi from Stitchy Bear Digital Stamps
Sentiment - My Stamp Box
Ink - "Moonstruck" from CTMH
Ribbon - Stash
Flowers - Handmade by me using matching patterned paper, ink and "Foliage" punches from Paper Shapers for the flat flowers. The roses were made by cutting circles from my paper which I then cut in a spiral pattern using "Cloud" scissors from Fiskar. The paper 'spring' was then distressed with ink and rolled by me. The paper roll was attached to a with CTMH Liquid Glass.
Leaves - "Snowflake" punch from Paper Shapers that I then cut into pieces
Glitter around outside of image - DecoArt Glamour Dust
Copics - B00, B24, C1, C3, C5, C7, R01, R29, YR00 and 0 Colourless Blender
The edge of my card was scalloped with the Large Scallop Edgelets from Stampin' Up and my Cuttlebug

Celebrate Hiking & Canoeing

Today I want to share a card for a guy that is both sporty and in the United States patriotic colours. I don't seem to get enough opportunity to make cards for guys so I am often in a brain freeze when planning them. I guess, maybe its because I just naturally prefer to create with flowers, ribbons and all things lacey. I don't know, lol. Once I had a bit of an idea of what I wanted to do, it all just sort of fell into place.

Here is my card:
Card Front

Inside of Card

Recipe:
Patterned Paper - CTMH "Fanfare"
Inks - CTMH Archival Black, Outdoor Denim & New England Ivy
Stamps - CTMH "Happy Camper", "Say It In Style" & "Curly Sentiments" stamp sets
Brads - CTMH
Water Colour Pencils & Blending Pen - CTMH
Card Base & White Cardstock - My Stash

For the image on my card, I again tried the masking technique with the "Happy Camper" stamp sets. It turned out much better this time and I had a lot of fun doing it. I coloured it all in with my water colour pencils then blended with my blending pen. I thought I would take a break from the Copics, for this card anyway, lol. I love using the blending pen because it blends the colours so the shading blends in and you don't see all of the pencil lines. Like the Copics, if you aren't happy with the result the first time, just keep blending and adding or removing colour.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Simon Says Stamp Challenge - Sporty and/or Patriotic
Paper Pretties Wednesday Challenge - PWC212 - Red, White & Blue
Pile It On #27 - For a Guy with a Sports Theme
Card Makin' Mamas - Challenge #48 - Color Challenge Red, White & Blue
Make My Monday - Colour Wheel Challenge Week 1 - Primary Colours

For this card, I used a sketch from Freshly Made Sketches #41.
Thank you so much for stopping by today. I am signing off as it is my fur-babies 6th birthday today. I have 2 Shih Tzus who are brother and sister from the same litter. Their names are Angel and Zeus and my hubby and I spoil them terribly. Every year I buy them a birthday cake from K-9 Delights Bakery. They specialize in all natural gourmet baking and treats for dogs; Angel and Zeus thoroughly enjoy the treats I buy for them from this fabulous bakery.
Thank you so much for popping by today.
Got to run, I have puppies to brush before hubby gets home and we have their birthday party.
