Frosty & Friend

Good evening! How is everyone tonight? Do you have snow yet? I don't and since it is the end of November, I'm starting to get a little bit worried. We have had a couple of very light flurries but nothing has stayed yet. It has been WARM too; too warm for this time of year. The Blue Jays are here though and they want their bird seed.
So, tonight the card I am sharing with you is full of snowflakes and awesome blues; my favourite Christmas colours. I made it up for my DT card for this week's challenge at One Stitch at a Time. Challenge #140 is 'Use a Digi' and this time I tried something totally new for me. I used DIGI PAPERS for the first time, and I loved it! These are so great. You can shrink or crop them to print out just the portion you want which is fabulous. It was my turn to pick the digi for Nataliya and I this week and wait till you see the digi papers I picked for us; they are beautiful.
First of all, here is the card I made with them:

Under the Sea

Good Evening Bloggers:
How was your weekend? Mine was prodctive; I got 3 cards made. Two of them are for this week's challenge at One Stitch At A Time where the theme is 'Give Thanks'. The reason I made two cards for this challenge is because our leader Choccy had posted that she was short a card and was looking for a volunteer to make an extra card. I never pass up a chance to make an extra card. Choccy, Stitchy and all the creators do so much that I don't mind helping out when they need it.

I was priveledged to choose an image from Kassal Digi Stamps, the newest creator to join the Stitchy Bear Stamps team. I have to admit, this image gave me a bit of a run for my money as I knew how I wanted it to look but it took a bit to get there, lol.

Here is my card:
Full view.

Close-up of the top.

Close-up of image and my 'coral'.

Side view to show the dimenson.

Close-up of the bottom.

The whole card again.

3D Christmas

Good morning all!
I am here today to share a new technique with you and the November challenge over at Technique Tuesday. This month, Mynnette and all my DT sisters at Technique Tuesday want to see some 3D Punched elements on your card. They don't have to be Christmas themed, just 3D. Mynnette has posted a super easy tutorial on the Challenge blog and it is tons of fun to make these up.

Here is the card I made for the Design Crew this month:
Full View

Ribbon that I added gems to and the larger gems beside sentiment

3D Punched ornaments

Just the bottom half

Flat ornaments on bottom half

Another look at the top half

November's Top Winner will receive 3 digital sentiments made by our lovely Captain, Mynnette, and each stamper who's card is showcased will receive 1 digital sentiment made Mynnette! ;) Here's the best part--THE WINNERS get to choose what they want their sentiment to say and what style! If this doesn't sound like something you'd like, you could choose from some sentiments that she already has made. :) More details will be forthcoming after winners are announced.

Be sure you pop by all my DT sisters blogs and Mynnette's to have a peek at their fabulous creations too.

Card Recipe:
Cardstock:  Recollections

Reindeer Games

OMG!!! If you read this past Sunday's post, you will already ready know that I have been down with a nasty cold. It wasn't until I was writing that post that I quickly found out just how bad this virus had sent me for a loop. I didn't post my card for the current challenge at Crafty Cardmakers; and I'm the hostess this week!!!! If I was Lin, I would give me a stern talking to......Yikes!
The current challenge is #78 A Shaped Card Featuring a Reindeer or Two and there is still time to play along with us. You have until November 10th to upload your card to the blog post. Now, please, please, PLEASE be sure that you make a shaped card and not just a square or rectangle card. I would hate to have to disqualify all your hard work from the draw.

Without further delay, here is my card:

I have been drawing since a child and studied graphics at College many years ago, I now work as a Medical photographer part time but my love was always drawing. I started cardmaking about 4yrs ago when I bought my daughter a cardmaking kit which we did together, but I’m afraid I got the bug! My daughter preferred scrapbooking. I then started looking online at other blogs and this then became my passion and I loved sharing my cards with likeminded people.
I love stamping and loved finding images, but sometimes I could not find what I wanted so I started to draw myself.
This then has become my second addiction and I have never looked back, I love thinking of new images, and its just fabulous to see others take them and make them into beautiful works of art. Long may it continue!
