2S4Y, Cupcake Craft Challenge & MSW

I love trying to participate each week/month in several of the various blog challenges that are out there. It is an added challenge when you want to try and make a couple of the challenges go together into 1 item. This week was no exception, but as an added bonus I found I was able to roll 3 different blog challenges all into 1 card...whoo hoo!! Kazan at 2 Sketches 4 You provided the sketch for the card, Cupcake Craft Challenge provided a specific detail that had to be found on the card, and Alecia at My Sketch World provided the "recipe" for making the card. When you have a few moments, be sure to check out each of these blogs. You will find a never ending pool of inspiration at each of them.

Kazan's Sketch 47:

Cupcake Craft Challenge 80 - Round & Round. "We want to see lots of circles..."

MSW - Alecia's Recipe Card Challenge:
Make a card using the following items - atleast 1 hole cut out, atleast 2 patterned papers, ribbon and atleast 1 button.

Cupcake CC Birthday & 2S4U Kazan's #33 & MSW P=Patterned Paper Challenge

I finallay found some time to work on one of Kazan's sketches over at 2S4U I had not submitted anything all summer, so I figured I should get back to 'normal' and I decided I would give her sketch #33 a try. I just loved this sketch when I saw it, and I was able to make a card to use for 3 challenges all at once. This card was perfect for the challenge at 2S4U, of course, MSW "P=Patterned Paper" Challenge and Cupcake Craft Challenges "Happy 1st Birthday" Challenge.

Here is Kazan's #33:

And here is my take on it:Recipe: All patterned paper is from DCWV Sweet Stack, CTMH "Cupcake Sprinkles" stamp set and inks, Prima flowers, Ranger Stickles, Offray ribbon and Kaisercraft Pearls.

Cupcake Craft Challenge is having their Blog's 1st Birthday Celebration this week and the prizes they are giving away are AMAZING. Each member of their Design Team is giving away their own blog candy plus CCC also has their own prizes. Pop on over to the CCC blog and read all about it.
The P=Patterned Paper challenge at the MSW Forum required that you make a card using atleast 3 different patterned papers, so again this card was perfect.
Thanks for stopping by :)
Hugs xoxo

2 Sketches 4 You Ultimate Card Challenge

Have you heard about the Ultimate Card Challenge happening this month over at 2 Sketches 4 You? If not, then you have got to check it out! This is the sketch that Laura provided for us this week...
....and here is my take on it. I even used a NEW product (new to me anyway) on my card this week. It is called "Flower Soft" and boy do I like it. It gives you some fantastic dimension and can be used anywhere on your project. I have it in 3 different colours so far...lol. Did you also notice my glitter spiral and rhinestones. If you know me, you know I LOVE sparkly bling.

Here is a close-up of that swirl.
And, here is a close-up of the Flower Soft. I used the Fushia Flower Soft on this card.

Recipee:
De Ja View green paper
Fushia Flower Soft
Stampin Up "Spring Song" stamp set
Prima Flowers & Unknown glitter
HOTP vellum
Time 4 Crafts purple paper, ribbon & rhinestones
CTMH watercolour pencils

365 Cards Days 89, 90 & 2S4U Kazan's #27 & Bonus

Day 89 & 2S4U Bonus Sketch:
This is the bonus sketch that was provided by one of the DT members at 2S4U. I also followed the Day 89 challenge at 365 Cards. Their challenge was Imagine This: Watermelon. Watermelon is the inspiration and we had to either use the colour or an actual image of a watermelon on our card. I chose to do a bit of both.

Here is my take on both of these challenges:

Recipee:
Creative Memories pink cardstock & watermelon stickers
Crafts green paper
Sheer Creations ribbon, CTMH inks, "Special Friendship" stamp set for inside sentiment

365 Cards Day 90 & Kazan's Sketch #27
I was really excited that I was able to use another card for a double challenge this week....yippee! Using the sketch that Kazan designed for us this week over at 2 Sketches 4 You, I then followed the colour challenge over at 365 Cards. The challenge there was "I See Your 'Two' Colours and we had to design a card using only 2 colours. There were a lot of entries for this week, so pop over to both of these blogs and check them out. There is a link on my sidebar that will take you there in a blink.

Here is my take on Day 90 & Kazan's sketch:

Recipee:
Hot Off The Press papers & tags
Sheer Creations ribbon
CTMH inks

Thanks for stopping by to have a look.

365 Cards Day 37 & Laura's Sketch 23

Today marks the start of a new card challenge at 2 Sketches 4 You. The Design Team did a fabulous job with this week's sketch. When you have some time, be sure to check them all out.

Here is my take on Laura's Sketch 23 and the chipboard I dressed up for 365 Cards Day 37:

I was lucky enough to be able to use this card for 2 different card challenges....yippee! The challenge for today at 365 Cards was to 'dress up' some chipboard and add it to your card. I chose the scalloped circle from one of my Stampin' Up On Boards sets. I inked the chip in colours that would go with my scheme, added some glitter to the whole surface, then tied my bow around it before glueing it onto my card. I just love glittering things up. See you tomorrow....hopefully.

Laura's Sketch 22

Laura from 2 Sketches 4 You has designed this week's card challenge sketch.

As soon as I saw Laura's sketch this week, I knew exactly how I wanted to proceed with it. All of a sudden, I had this picture in my mind and I could envision every detail of my card. This card is my first attempt at using a hinge as an embillishment, and even though I wasn't too sure of how it should be placed on the card, I think I did pretty good. The hinge still works, so I figure I must have done part of it right...lol. The paper I chose for this week was purchased from Created With Paper and is from Toni's "Organic" and "Beachy Keen" kits. I just love buying these kits from Toni. I joined her Monthly Kit Club in March 2008 and I have bought almost every months kit since then, along with several other items. When you have a few moments, be sure to pop by the Created With Paper website and have a look around.

My take on Laura's sketch:

Products Used: Close To My Heart ink pads and "Racoon & Friends" stamp set, We R Memory Keepers hardware and hinge, EK Success fibers, Stickopotomus letter stickers, Prima flowers, BoBunny chipboard and papers and Crafts ribbon and decorative brads.

Kazan's Sketch 22

Here is the sketch for this week's card challenge over at 2 Sketches 4 You. Pop on on over to their blog and have a look at all the beautiful cards that were entered by everyone.

Here is my take on Kazan's Sketch 22 this week.

For this birthday card, I used the following products:
Close To My Heart - 'Good Times' and 'Playful Florishes' stamp sets and inks,
Crafts coloured rhinestones, Ranger Industries stickles, Colorbok patterned paper, Zig Memory System glue pen, Creative Memories tape runner, EK Success pop dots, Doodlebug sugar coating glitter and Unknown cardstock and fibres.
I'm not sure why, but I had a bit of a difficult time with Kazan's sketch this week on 2 Sketches 4 You. I had a couple of different ideas on what I wanted to do with it, but when I began putting it together, I seemed to struggle. Alls well that ends well....I finally got it finished and posted before the deadline.
Till next time, Hugs

Laura's Sketch 21

This week it was Laura's turn to design and post the new sketch. I decided to make a card that would be good for a guy.

Here is my take on Laura's sketch 21. For this card I used the following products: Hot Off The Press 'Classic' & 'Earth Tone' papers, asst adhesives and Close To My Heart 'Racoon & Friends' stamp set, ribbon, brads, stamp pads and water colour pencils.
